Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name from your Google or Apple sign-in. We do not collect passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Google or Apple.

When you use Neariq, we store:

• The competitor businesses you choose to monitor (Google Maps place IDs, names, addresses)
• Snapshots of public competitor data fetched from Google Maps (ratings, review counts, hours)
• Alerts generated from those snapshots
• Your subscription plan and billing status

How we use your data

We use your data solely to provide the Neariq service:

• To monitor the competitors you have added
• To send you alert emails and weekly digests
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To improve the product (aggregated, anonymized usage only)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

Neariq uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Google Places API — public business data
• OpenAI — generating plain-English alert summaries
• Resend — sending emails
• Stripe — payment processing

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — competitors, snapshots, alerts, and profile information — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@neariq.io.

Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication — to keep you logged in between sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
